World War IIThe Second World War was fought from 1939 to 1945 between the Allied and Axis Powers. France, Britain, Italy, Germany, the USSR, and Japan were the main belligerents until December 7th, 1941, when the United States was brought into
the war following the attack on Pearl Harbor by the Japanese Empire. The introduction of American troops and industry into the war played a vital role in the eventual Allied victory. The war officially ended on September 2nd after the Atomic Bombing of the two main Japanese production centers of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in mid-August.
